The attacks from both sides between Israel and Iran have entered their sixth day, with U.S. President Donald Trump issuing a statement regarding this new Middle Eastern conflict.

President Donald Trump stated that the United States is aware of the hiding place of Iran’s highest leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, during this crisis between Israel and Iran, but he does not wish for him to be killed at this time.

In his message posted on social media, Trump urged Iran to “surrender unconditionally” as the conflict escalates.

“We know exactly where this so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is easy to find, but he is safe where he is; we will not kill him at least for now,” Trump added in his post.

The attacks between the two nations have continued into the sixth day. Iran has once again launched a barrage of missiles towards Israel, while that country has retaliated by attacking the capital Tehran and other cities in Iran.

So far, the death toll in Israel stands at 24, with over 600 injured. In Iran, more than 200 people have been reported dead.

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported early this morning that more missiles from Iran are being fired.

Warning sirens were heard as the Israeli military urged its citizens to follow the instructions provided by the IDF’s emergency department.

The natural environment

What’s your favorite thing about yourself?

The natural environment,
Everything is built with a purpose,
When the eyes see, it’s a sign of continuity,
Beautiful surroundings are a light for many creatures,
Even everything looks like fish in the water,
The universe is visible,
The environment acts as a connector like energy in a sculptor’s work,
I protect the environment because its richness is like honey for all living beings on Earth.

The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has allocated a subsidy of 216 billion shillings for a campaign aimed at vaccinating livestock and identification over a period of five years starting this year.

While speaking at the launch event for the national vaccination and livestock identification campaign held at Nyakabindi grounds in Simiyu region, Hon. Dr. Samia urged all Regional Commissioners across the country to oversee the use of these resources and ensure they are utilized for the benefit of livestock keepers as intended.

Furthermore, Hon. Dr. Samia pointed out that the government is beginning to see the benefits of modern livestock farming changes that have been implemented, adding that the government will continue to enhance this sector to ensure productivity remains evident.

“The government is determined to eradicate livestock diseases, and that is why we are launching this vaccination program for 2025/2029 today. I want to sincerely commend all livestock keepers in Tanzania for agreeing to contribute half, while we, the government, provide the other half for the vaccination of cattle, goats, and sheep,” Hon. Dr. Samia added.

Additionally, Hon. Dr. Samia noted that after providing subsidies in the agriculture sector, the government has now started offering subsidies in the livestock sector specifically for livestock vaccinations.

Hon. Dr. Samia stated that the government has created an enabling environment for both the public and private sectors that have developed vaccines to be used in this campaign, and she expressed satisfaction with their plans to ensure Tanzania becomes self-sufficient in livestock vaccines.

“In the past, when we were importing, we sometimes had concerns about the safety of the vaccines we were using, but now that they are produced locally by our own people, it increases our confidence in the available vaccines. Therefore, I commend the Ministry for the decision to utilize local producers in this regard.

Discussing electronic ear tags, Hon. Dr. Samia mentioned that for a long time, the government has been working on a livestock database in the country, and these ear tags will serve as a tool for obtaining that data.
