Bongo Fleva Star Elias Barnaba Makes Official Leap into Film with New Series “Kikulacho”
Elias Barnaba, a prominent figure in Tanzania’s Bongo Fleva music scene, has officially announced his entry into the film industry following the launch of his new series, Kikulacho Season 1, through his production company, High Table Film.
Speaking to journalists during the launch event, Barnaba revealed that many are unaware his artistic journey actually began with acting before he fully dedicated himself to Bongo Fleva music.
“After I suffered a burn injury, I was supposed to hold a press conference the next day for the launch of Kikulacho, but due to the incident, I had to postpone it. Today, we are officially launching this series, which will be broadcast on our YouTube channel,” Barnaba stated.
He explained that the project’s objectives are to uplift and promote new acting talents, increase competitiveness within the film industry, strengthen collaboration among artists and sector stakeholders, and expand the domestic film market.
Barnaba added that he believes the series will provide opportunities for emerging actors to showcase their abilities and build their names in the film industry.
On her part, rising actress Aisha Juma, popularly known as Khan, who is among the cast of the series, commended Barnaba for his initiative in nurturing and unveiling new talents through the project.
She noted that Barnaba’s investment in film is a significant contribution to the industry, especially for artists seeking platforms to display their skills to a wider audience.
Philosophy: The Seed That Grows the Forests of Science
Around the universe, everything has a source, that means no ‘ honey ‘ could be formed without a source , in science, we say philosophy is a great seed that can develop great motion and products of our future . If we still innovate anything, means that there is a great source that make us interpret and understand the direction of our motion in a straight line .
Nothing can happen if no source act on it ,every great source has a great skeleton and every great idea has great products and every great seed has a formula as well as equation guiding the motion for a life .
Before equations, before labs, before telescopes—there was a question.
A silent, stubborn “Why?” whispered in the dark.
That whisper is philosophy.
And it is the original seed from which every great science grows.
Physics began when philosophers wondered, “What is everything made of?”
Astronomy sprouted when they gazed up and asked, “What are those lights, and where do we stand?”
Biology took root with the curiosity, “What is life?”
Philosophy doesn’t just ask—it teaches us how to ask.
It trains the mind to doubt, to reason, to imagine beyond the visible.
It builds the scaffolding of logic that holds up our theories.
Science is the how. Philosophy is the why.
Science maps the universe; philosophy wonders why there’s a map at all.
Science measures the stars; philosophy asks what it means to measure.
In a world racing toward AI, gene editing, and interplanetary life, we need that seed more than ever.
We need ethics to guide our power.
We need wonder to fuel our curiosity.
We need humility to remember—every answer opens ten new questions.
So here’s to the thinkers, the dreamers, the question-planters.
You are the gardeners of tomorrow’s science.
You are the reason the universe keeps becoming more beautiful, more known, more alive.Every human mind is built with philosophy ( seed) that is essentially for maintaining great progress through our lives , so relying on AI this seed could loose its function and no more innovation could happen , so there is a great need to protect our seed against modern technology with great privacy.
